Check an agency
Type the agency name. We match it against the DMW list of licensed agencies, refreshed every week, and show whether the license is valid, suspended, or cancelled.
Our copy of the DMW list is being loaded. Until then, use the official DMW search linked below.
Valid
Licensed and active. Still confirm the name matches exactly and that the person you talk to works there.
Suspended / Delisted
Cannot process deployments right now. Do not pay or sign anything.
Not found / Cancelled
No license. Any recruitment activity is illegal recruitment.
Three more checks that take a minute
- Confirm on the DMW site itself. Our list is a copy. The official search at dmw.gov.ph and the DMW mobile app are the source of truth.
- Ask for the job order number. A licensed agency with a real Japanese employer has a DMW-approved job order. No job order, no deployment.
- Check the office address. Visit it, or at least confirm it on the map. Recruiters who only meet in malls or online are a warning sign.
Also: the Japanese side
Once in Japan, an SSW worker is supported by the employer or a registered support organization. Japan publishes the full list with the languages each one supports. About 1,800 of them list Tagalog. See them on the map.
